Mr. Ray Cole
Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, and Co-Founder of TechOp Solutions International, Inc.
Mr. Cole’s professional experience includes leadership positions in defense consulting, science and technology, and as a career Marine Corps Officer. He was the Executive Vice President, Federal Business Group, Technology Associates; Executive Vice President, Potomac Institute for Policy Studies; and Program and Technical Manager of the Extending the Littoral Battlespace Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration.
During his military career, Mr. Cole served in a range of technical and operational positions: Warfighting Analyst for the Marine Corps’ service headquarters; Director of Research, Analysis, and Assessment on the J-8 Joint Staff; Co-Executive Secretary for the 1996 Defense Science Board; Modernization Panel Chief for the 1996 Quadrennial Defense Review; and as an Operations Officer and Commander at all levels through Infantry regiment where he participated in foreign and domestic contingency operations in Lebanon, Kuwait, Somalia, and the 1992 Los Angeles Riots.
Mr. Cole received his BA degree in Economics from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, attended the National War College, and studied Technology Management at American University. In 1992, Mr. Cole was awarded the Navy League’s Holland M. Smith Award for Operational Competence while serving in Desert Shield and Storm.
Mr. Cole currently provides senior consulting support to the Department of Homeland Security Operations Center in strategic planning, critical information requirements, information sharing, fusion analysis, traditional and new media monitoring, common operational picture, and executive decision support.
